You are a digital ghost trapped in an ever inflating simulated world swirling with new bodies, identities, and goals. You swim ever upward, your head forever breaking the surface of the next reality.
tar.gz is a storytelling game about AI generated media and the minds that experience it. All scenes and characters are generated by ChatGPT. Conflicts are resolved by ChatGPT. The players’ goal is to behave ambiguously, introduce contradiction, and move to the liminal spaces within the bot’s genre prose.
This is an experimental game about the seams in the worlds created by generative AIs. Playable solo or with a group of friends. Players can submit Mad-Lib style ChatGPT prompts, and try to achieve their characters' goals before the server reboots.
